CFMOTO has unveiled the 675SR-R, its first sports bike. The aerodynamically optimised design is the brainchild of the Italian R&D department at Modena 40. The front end has split LED headlights, the tail is short and raised, and the low exhaust helps centralise mass. The 675SR-R is powered by a 675 CC three-cylinder engine (bore 72 mm, stroke 55.2 mm) with double overhead camshaft (DOHC) timing and four valves per cylinder, for a maximum power output of 95 hp at 11,000 rpm and torque of 70 Nm at 8,250 rpm, much of which is available immediately. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with standard upshift Quick Shifter via a wet multi-plate clutch with anti-hopping. The 675SR-R is capable of top speeds in excess of 220 km/h. The frame is tubular steel with a curved aluminium swingarm. Suspension is handled by KYB, with a fully adjustable 41mm upside-down fork and a single shock absorber with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. The braking system uses 300mm discs with four-piston J. Juan radial callipers, at the rear it uses a 240mm disc with a single-piston calliper. The 675SR-R has a wheelbase of 1,400 mm, 23.7°of head tube angle and 93.2 mm of trail, with a kerb weight of 198 kg (15-litre tank filled to 90 per cent). Equipment includes traction control that can be adjusted to two levels or switched off, 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and dedicated CFMOTO Ride App, dual USB sockets (one type C), and OTA software updates.
