Ducati debuts at EICMA with the new Streetfighter V2 (also available in an S version), the first of two new models (Streetfighter V2 and Panigale V2) set to launch at the end of March 2025 with the newly introduced V2 engine. This model is not an evolution of the previous V2 but a completely new concept, featuring a 90° V-twin 890 cc engine with variable valve timing (IVT), capable of delivering 120 HP at 10,750 rpm and 93.3 Nm at 8,250 rpm. It abandons the desmodromic valve system to reduce production and maintenance costs. Together with an aluminum monocoque frame, it results in a total weight savings of 18 kg, bringing the dry weight to 178 kg (175 kg for the S version). Aesthetically, the new Streetfighter V2 is inspired by the lines of the Panigale, with a front section that includes a full LED headlight with DRL, a rear section with an exhaust inspired by the 1299 Final Edition, and black lightweight alloy wheels with a six Y-spoke design. The electronics package includes a 5” TFT display with three viewing modes and new handlebar controls, allowing easy management of the extensive electronic control suite, which includes four customizable Riding Modes. The Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Pit Limiter are also available, standard on the S version and optional on the standard model. In the standard version, suspension is provided by Marzocchi for the 43 mm inverted fork, Kayaba for the rear monoshock, and Sachs for the steering damper. The S version upgrades to Öhlins, featuring a 43 mm inverted NIX30 fork and a direct-mount monoshock with a progressive linkage to the dual-sided swingarm. Both versions share the Sachs steering damper and Brembo braking system, with M50 monoblock calipers and four pistons paired with 320 mm front discs and a 245 mm rear disc.
