EICMA 2021, a test area to be thrilled by eBIKES

In over 2000 square metres for the latest new products from the universe of pedal assist bikes, the indoor test track will also host the final of the Italian EBX Urban Championship

 
Climbs, jumps, steps and technical passages on rubber and tubes. Driven by the unstoppable successes of sales, the eBike universe is ready to thrill the general public of EICMA. This year, the 78th International Two Wheels Exhibition, to be held from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 November at Fiera Milano Rho, dedicates a special indoor area of over 2000 square metres to pedal assist bikes. It has an enclosed test track which covers more than 250 metres, and has been designed precisely to give everyone the chance to test the advantages and the pedalling feedback offered by eBikes.
                                                                                                                                  
In addition to the new models that concern this segment of the cycling sector present all over the exhibition, visitors are also offered a privileged occasion to discover at first hand the potential and the prerogatives of what in recent years has become established as a fully-fledged phenomenon of the market. Confirmation comes from the figures: In 2020 alone, in Europe and the United Kingdom, eBikes recorded an increase in sales of 52% in terms of market value, bringing it to euro 10.6 billion, while in Italy with over 280,000 units sold, they have recorded a solid  +44% compared to 2019. The export and Import of eBikes from and to Italy have also grown compared to the previous year, respectively by  +28% and +67%.
 
The special eBike area at EIMA 2021 is also a racing container. On Saturday 27 November, the test track will host the final of the EBX Urban Championship, which will award the Italian titles for this new and spectacular sport dedicated to eBikes, promoted by the Italian Motorcycling Federation. There will be one round from 2 pm to 3 pm and a second one from 4 pm to 5 pm. The show Is guaranteed..
 
The eBike Area will be in Hall 24. Open from 23 November  for the press only, 24 November for the press and trade  and from 25 to 28 November for the general public, access to the test track will be reserved for adults only and it can be tested without necessarily having to face the obstacles, a characteristic which also makes it suitable for the use of any electric bicycle.
 
The President of EICMA S.p.A., Pietro Meda, spoke of a "concrete opportunity for exhibitors and the public," underlining that "the cycling sector finds a special occasion in this area to channel all the efforts that it is making with its sector and it is arousing increasing interest of users and fans, who can have fun and see the latest products at first hand.”
