Main novelties come from one of the most appreciated maxi-enduro: the Honda Africa Twin 1100. Its design has become more sporty and aggressive. The 2020 Honda Africa Twin 1100 can also count on a new frame. The SOHC 8­valve parallel­ twin engine’s essential architecture is instead confirmed but has a larger displacement of 1,084cc, up from 998cc, with a simultaneous increase in power up to 102 hp with peak torque going from 99Nm to 105Nm. Furthermore the steel semi­double cradle frame was completely re­vised by Honda’s development engineers and the aluminium swingarm is completely­ new and based on the same design used by the CRF450R. Electronics are even more advanced than in the past thanks to 7-level Traction Control, ABS Cornering, Cruise Control, 6 Riding Modes, 4 of which are pre-set and 2 that can be personalized by the rider. The rally­-style instrumentation features a full-colour 6.5­” TFT touchscreen which incorporates Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity.
