At EICMA Piaggio also brings the new Liberty, upgraded in terms of ergonomics and comfort. The front end has changed a lot and gained in sportiness. The new LED headlight has a horizontal development, and has become a strong element of the new aesthetic. A signature Piaggio element, the ‘central tie’, now features a honeycomb grille, visually connecting Liberty with its ‘bigger brothers’, the Beverly and Medley. In side view, the new compact lines perfectly connect the sturdy front end with a slimmer rear. The passenger grab handles of previous Liberty versions give way to a new aluminum element that can also accommodate the rear topcase. The triangle formed by the seat, handlebar grip and foot position has been redesigned to benefit comfort. In addition, thanks in part to the new handlebar positioned higher, control of the vehicle is still improved in all conditions. The new handlebar, in addition to bringing benefits in riding, is sized to accommodate the new full LCD instrumentation, with 5-inch color dashboard, which works in both Day and Night modes. Playing an important role in Liberty's new styling is the new sporty, three-spoke split wheel design of the 16-inch wheels at the front and 14-inch wheels at the rear.
