This is a stylish scrambler built on the basis of the Interceptor 650, but with a completely different soul. The idea that inspired it comes from Eddie Mulder's historic victory in the 1960 Big Bear Run.
In honor of that episode it was named Bear 650 and is powered by Royal Enfield's 650 cc twin-cylinder engine, prized for its smooth delivery and character. The engine delivers a power output of 47 hp at 7,250 rpm and maximum torque of 56.5 Nm at 5,150 rpm, which provides good thrust even in the mid-range. The unprecedented 2-in-1 exhaust system optimizes delivery, while the compact silencer saves weight and plays an important role in defining the bike's look. Also architects of the Bear 650's scrambler styling are the generous semi-treaded tires, the seat line, the short rear fender, the side panels with license plate, and the Bear 650's ground clearance convey its authentic scrambler DNA. The look is further enhanced by the color schemes, inspired by the lively California spirit: Petrol Green, Golden Shadow and a special edition called Two Four Nine, which pays homage to the iconic race number with which Eddie Mulder won the Big Bear Run.
