Triumph’s investment in motocross sector gives birth to the TF 450-RC Edition, where ‘RC’ stands for Ricky Carmichael, one of the greatest, if not the greatest, rider in the history of American motocross as well as official developer for the Hinckley-based manufacturer. There are many components in common with the smaller TF 250-X: from the Brembo braking system to the Galfer brake discs and the hand-welded aluminium double-cradle frame. The TF 450-RC’s single-cylinder, SOHC 450cc engine is built for racing, delivering robust power while minimizing weight giving a power-to-weight ratio that leads the class. As concerns the chassis, the bike features KYB 48mm separate cartridge suspension with 310mm of travel and KYB three-way monoshock with 305mm of travel. Also standard on the bike are the Akrapovic exhaust with dedicated mapping, the Xtrig Holeshot device and ODI RC4 Signature handlebars. The colour design prominently incorporates Triumph’s Performance Yellow with black and white accents. It also includes RC’s iconic n. 4, GOAT logo and key sponsor details.
