The new Vespa GTS 310 is the most powerful, snappy and fast Vespa ever made in the nearly 80-year history of the world's most beloved two-wheeler. At the heart of this evolution is the new 310 cc engine, a unit that, starting from the base of the already ultra-modern liquid-cooled 278 cc powerplant, profoundly evolves it, with more than 70 percent of the components completely new, with new measurements and thus with new and improved performance. The stroke of the single-cylinder increases from 63 mm to just over 70 mm, bringing the displacement from 278 to 310 cc and the power to 25 hp. Torque also increases and, thanks to the longer stroke, elasticity of ride. These are technical evolutions that improve riding ease. The torque delivered at low speeds, gives a powerful, yet progressive pickup in slowing down and restarting situations, typical of urban driving. Also new in the power train are the injectors, cylinder inclination, starting system, and crankcase design (which significantly reduces mechanical and drive belt noise). Furthermore, the new Euro 5+ engine is also more efficient, further reducing fuel consumption emissions.
