Yamaha embodies its history in the racing world in a single model: the XSR900 GP (an acronym that stands for Grand Prix). Part of Yamaha’s Sport Heritage range, the XSR900 GP takes advantage from the same 890 cc CP3 engine - which delivers 118 hp and maximum torque of 93 Nm - of the XSR900. The Deltabox-style aluminum chassis has been optimised. As for the suspension department, upside-down fork and twin-arm swingarm are confirmed, with Kayaba progressive linkage, while for the brakes come new Brembo calipers. Yesterday’s styling, however, is perfectly combined with modern and premium electronics: in fact, the XSR900 GP is equipped with the same six-axis IMU inertial platform developed for the R1. Among other distinctive features: electronic package controls, complemented by three pre-set Riding Modes: Sport, Street, Rain in addition to two Custom settings, and the third-generation Quick Shift electronic transmission. The new XSR900 GP will be available in two colours, Legend Red and Power Grey.
